from all the youngsters I have lost this year, I have not had a single youngster reportedhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0138-thinking.gif

It's been my worst season for losses.

OBs - Training - Lost 1, almost certainly down to a hawk attack.

OBs - Racing - Lost 24 (out of 34).

I had none reported.

YBs - Training - Lost 5, first a definite hawk attack (1 of 3 made it home badly mauled, and had to be culled) the other almost certainly down to a hawk attack, 4 of 6 made it home, singly, hours after release.

YBs - Racing - Lost 11 out of 24. 2 home injured, both strike injuries, first with a holed crop, second with a skinned keel.

I had one trainer returned in stray basket, none reported.

Old birds - started with 28 ended up with 12 had 3 reported.

Young birds - bred 55 got 20 left only 1 reported and he was a non fancier.

Just where do they go? I get my fair share of strays in and try do my best too get them home so why dont some others? Not hard too make a phone call isit.
