Did you read the write up in the BHW ?

 

It made interesting reading, as well as being a thoroughly entertaining article (page 37, 14th September 2012 issue)

 

50 lofts throughout the UK providing birds (N Renton, S Aitchison, Scotland, Nev Evans, Lister Bros UNC to name but a few)- and 50 offspring of skemmies (ferals) resident in a barn in Kirkbymoorside

 

It was pretty much 50/50 from the first few back - but the returns?? 22 lost from the 'top lofts' out of 50 - only 2 skemmie babies lost out of those 50 out of the first five races.

 

Skemmies - all named - the likes of 'Stumpey', 'Porridge', 'Scruff',

 

Proceeds to 'Children in Need'
