that WOS derby last week would be a good start for the west boys? have it from leicster the week before the national? open to Rpra and Shu members? section and area pools?

There is a desire from myself and a few fanciers that I know to have a money spinner race equivalent to that if the Pentland fed big race. Just need someone to get of there ar se and get it organised.

One thing i would like to say,with the commonwealth games coming to Glasgow ,its a real chance to do something in the west,something special very often one offs become the norm.

The Stafford race will no doubt have helped in the west birds putting up a better performance, but it would have more prevalent if the birds had a race without that strong westerly wind, were the experience of the birds having the 220 miles before the young bird national would have been fully shown.

I think a Gold Ring race. £10 a ring , unlimited..these to be entered before 1st June...The race flown from Uttoxeter, if not the weekend before the yb nat then maybe mid week as they do in the east.Prizes paid out 50/30/20% - 5% admin.Pools £5,£10,£20 .Think it would be great.

No sure if you would get the numbers with gold rings,to many lost before the event. You being a good example of this. Maybe a £1 A bird in June,then maybe a Fiver a bird on basketing.Pools and prizes as above.

 

Sponsorship and working for sponsorship very important,must do best to get advertisement and support from outwith our sport.

Way it works here Derek is you enter up to 5 ring numbers the night of the first yb race at £10 each. Pools are 50p-£50 paid 1 in 10 I think.
