harry h Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 .............. to put a cap on players wages? Well Rangers have £150 Per week + £10 for a win Bonus. :001:
geordie1234 Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 I would say so tony but if it happend it would have to be world wode or european wide as the top earners would just leave for better playing clubs abroad like rooney torres nani nasri aguero and thethe likes
andy Burgess Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 .............. to put a cap on players wages?i would say YES , but with a reservation ,if any of my Son,s get signed ,they can pay as much as they bloomin well want
billt Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 .............. to put a cap on players wages? A bit difficult when mega-rich owners are prepared to pay those wages, looking on the bright side it filters down and others benefit like car manufacturers and bookies
JohnQuinn Posted July 11, 2012 Report Posted July 11, 2012 I'd say no Tony, the entertainment they produce means advertisers are willing to pay Huge sums to be associated with them, so if they are generating the sums involved by how they play football then imo, they are entitled to the wages they earn. If they're not getting the money Fat Cats somewhere down the line will take it.
maverick Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 It cost far to much money now for the normal guy in the street to go to a match atthe prices now i took my grandson and his pal both 8 years old to see hearts cost around £90 by the time i had paid us in got them a juice, pie, program no wonder the grounds are half empty now cut the players wages were most are over paid actors and the cost of getting in may drop
wee eck Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Well Rangers have £150 Per week + £10 for a win Bonus. :001: if they end up in division one then there wont be much win bonus to be paid :crying:
Guest lambrechts31 Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 .............. to put a cap on players wages? DEFO, THERE SHOULD BE A PAY STRUCTURE AND TRANSFER FEE GRADE FOR EACH LEAGUE, AS THERE,S TO MANY OVER RATED PLAYERS WHO ARE HOPRLESS WHEN THEY GO TO ANOTHER CLUB, I KNOW THEY HAVE A SHORT PLAYING TIME BUT WHILE THERE EARNING BIG BUCKS INSTEAD OF DRIVING ABOUT IN BIG FLASHY CARS THEY SHOULD BE INVESTING THERE MONEY FOR THE FUTURE JMO.......
Guest Owen Posted July 12, 2012 Report Posted July 12, 2012 Talk about predators British football teams are now owned by foreigners and the players are from anywhere except Britain. Surely if there is a good living to be had from football we should train our own youngsters to the kind of skill levels needed to benefit by it. As regard the ownership of the Clubs I think that they should be owned by British syndicates rather that allow foreigner with very uncertain backgrounds to buy them up.It has been the same with the Bankers. We have allowed foreign people to walk in and exploit a situation that is costing us all dearly because those types will take their money and run off back to where ever they have come from without a care in the World.Bearing in mind that we were responsible for the Industrial Revolution and worked out how to make good quality goods in quantity. These days most of the worthwhile Manufacturers are from Abroad and their loyalties are elsewhere. So my point is that I think it is high time that we started looking after our own and stopped handing everything over to people who could not care less about us. Perhaps then we might actually be able to afford to go to see a game once in a while. Better still we might be able to have much more pressure on the National Selection so that we do not have to rely on the small number of prima donnas that we seem to do now.
