those were found with a metal detector in the Netherlands, they are not lead, Pigeon rings ???????

probably rings one fer leg one hole fer message pass , look a bit heavy fer rings tho more likely seals ????

they are very light could be aluminium

my guess would be ammunition box seals . :emoticon-0138-thinking:

 

I dont think they're seals................. all the seals I've seen have flippers & shiny black nose's. :P

 

I agree they look like the type of seal that you crimp on.

Me thinks it's a Waffenamt seal. They were used by Germany when various articles had been inspected and passed for use (usually armaments). I can see a number on same which is either 54 or 504.

54 die was used for 20mm case around 1940/41.

504 was used for electric switch circa 1943 !!

The War Museum will be best for confirmation,or if I'm wrong, they should be better suited to inform you.
