Anytime i report a pigeon now the 1st thing i ask the person is "do you want the pigeon back?" if not it saves a lot of time and money if they cant afford it...

thats the way to do it the person reporting the bird asking if you want it back saves any bother if the owner asks for the bird to be given a new home. i always ask if they want it back or for the bird to be found a new home

just like old times the 2 AULD YINS disagreeing with each other one says BLACK THE OTHER WHITE ......LOL

If you report the bird to the SHU their rules say he must send for the bird within X days or he is suspended from racing. I can see why he may not want the bird but he is duty bound by his union rules.

PS a courier is not the only way to get a bird back....

Where are you based?

Excellent post and in addition, if the Mr Mc Ginlay is the gentleman I think you are referring to- yes he may be a bit disillusioned now but if you check his track record you will find that he has done more for the sport in his various capacities than most.

Quite right if it is who I think it is. There are a few members with similar names in Ayrshire. If the reporter gets in touch with me I will try and sort this out.
