I am chuffed at my returns 12/13 with the Midland Fed from Stafford ,

my first pigeon was almost nailed by percy ! he went to land then suddenly shot away not to be seen for 15 mins only to return minus half his tail , tall story ? he was the only cheq i had away , my neibour saw him arrive and so did my mate who was waiting . but he lives to fight another day .

your Brother Dougie told us this story today at clock checking .we had 2 hawks less than 6ft from the roof today at 10.20 when a blue hen came and trapped like a bullet (it was a stray we had liberated yesterday) they were both chased away by a crow and a seagull thank goodness. :emoticon-0127-lipssealed:

13/19 from Uttoxeter which seems to be about par for most lofts. Some of course got better than that and some got worse but most of the guys around me are about a Third of their team down.

Silver lining is the doos seem to be working their way home the next day better this year so i'm sure there will be plenty sitting waiting to get into their respective lofts in the morning. Here's hoping anyway

a 3rd of the doos to come just read the posts john as far as i can see there are at least 50% to come you are maybe lucky with a 3rd to come but you cant hide the fact the lanarkshire got scudded the day and thats fact im no wan for getting into debates about things this race will have a snowball affect on the rest of the season unless the doos turn up in the morning

Noticed another post from another Midland fed fancier that had good returns from the apprx the sane area and distance that Lanarkshire raced from and yet Lanarkshire got a terrible race in comparrison to Midland. Mmm ???? Bloody doos, they would drive you crazy.

VERY SAD TO READ THESE STORIES ABOUT ALL THESE PIGEONS GOING MISSING, DO THEY EVENTUALLY GET HOME ?? WHATS THE REASONS FOR SOME BIRDS MAKING IT, WHEN OTHERS DONT, WHERE DO THEY ALL END UP, ANY IDEA,S, IM JUST INTERESTED IN YOUR THOUGHTS.

You canny keep them all and dont ever forget the 98% rule which has well and truly kicked in.Nae excuses EAST or WEST ROUTES ,CLASHES,GOING UP FIRST the answer is staring you in the face only 2% in any loft are any good.

Got 13/18 fae Wakefield. I knew this race was gonnae happen as we've been going along steady wi nearly full returns every week so the weak have to drop sometime and it's not all bop to blame

Well am stuck on 13/19 as i never got any more today. From those that are missing 1x 2009 3x 2010 and 2 yearlings. I had hopes for the 2010 birds in particular. However for whatever reason they didnae turn up when a 2011 latebred who has only been in a basket 4 times in its life was home before 2pm, my timer was unraced/trained as a Yb and only had 1 toss fae Lanark race course before racing started this year.

Suppose my point is that just because I fancied these doos to score and they are now MIA, simply means i over estimated them in the first place, a Trait VERY prevalent in this game!!

if over the years and your 2% rule was kept surely by now budgie, you would be in a position by now. to never loose a bird as all them 2% that you keep each year cant get lost eh
