Pigeon Racing Clocks

hi all i need some advice on pigeon racing clocks. whats the best type and make? and where to buy?, i know there is some on ebay but im trying to find somewhere to buy new clocks online but i cant find any, only second hand ones. im not realy looking for an ets system there just abit expensive, just looking for a traditional but modern clock, cheers.

As I said yesterday,your best route is to contact a local fancier/club,someone there will point you in the right direction and possibly a good second hand clock.

Dont think you have much choice these days with new clocks,unless its a ETS I believe that the T3s are the only new clock you can buy now,as previously advised Linells are the people to get in touch with.

You may think that ets is the most expensive option but by the time you've bought your new t3 ( if you can get one ) had it a few years need to change battery get it serviced every 4 years ( could be less ) the cost of sending it plus change of battery the ets maybe the cheaper option long term , ets will beat the t3 with multiple clocking no clock is faster than a ets

Not to mention ETS rings every year,how much are 50 unikon rings ?

With the big young bird losses,most posts last season were about members going back to T3.

train without ets rings on then put them on before racing , surely the bird there on is worth more than any ets ring , as a hobby / pastime it is pretty cheap when compare against fishing or golf

Looking myself to get an ets likely to be bricon, plan to have one trap into the corridor so only need one pad

Very easy to set up Lindsay screw clock holder up screw the pad in to the bottom of clock holder attach power pack clock in and it's set up ( obviously you'd have to get clock setter to allocate rings ) , but is very easy to use no clock shy birds come race day and no running trying to catch bird , no sheets to write come basketing and best of all if raining or hailstones or blowing a gale you can watch through nearest window to loft with a nice hot cuppa

The one clock would do you for multiple races mate - you would not need 2 clocks. Nationals or otherwise, you can put several races on the one day and even go training too.

 

In our secretaries absence this week I set and struck off Tauris, Unikon, Bricon and Mega Ets clocks and to be absolutely honest they are all much of a muchness and once you understand the simple procedures, they are all a piece of P***.

 

The one thing that I have noticed about the Bricon "speedy" though is that the "beep" is not very loud when putting the birds through and one or two birds in our club have been missed because of it.

 

Mind you with the ageing pigeon fraternity we are all deaf old bastarbs anyway!!!

thanks but i already know how many races the unikon can handle i was wanting a second to stop me in the event travelling 120 miles to have an empty clock struck of as this the nearest station and if i were to join the other national this would be very handy.and yes they easy the clocks.
