john cumming Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 folks ive noticed over the last month or so my birds are contstantly pecking at the inside of my car alloys for some reason?? it seems they are after the brake dust particals that stick to the alloys, other than the rubber compound on the pads and the alloy itself, it doesnt seem to have done any harm to my birds as yet, has anyone had the same problem and did it do harm to the birds, the guy at the car wash place must love me as im there every few days so the alloys dont get covered in the brake dust ??? john
andy Burgess Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 searching for something then ? salt off the road or the "brake dust" resembles black minerals ??
