budgie Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 (edited) This must be why the meeting is being called, that is to decide whether or not it is to be a Duplication race?? And yes we can put the races back as some members have the right to have there comeback race from Otterburn. JMO Gareth there is no mention of having extra race and it would not be included within the averages. The Duplication race i think will be cancelled due to the lack of income received last week. Jmo Thirsk with the Fed and lets hold another Kelso/Dunbar race with the Newmains van or Lanarkshire Lads trailor after all its only for education. With Jock the Cock having 80 latebreds it wont be hard to full.

Guest Gareth Rankin Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 HiWell the members of Carluke that have spoke tome also want OtterburnCheersHomer 49 a wee phone round and you'll get a better idea that there are fanciers in Carluke wishing to go to Thirsk. Larkhall feel that rule 32B should be adhered too with the season being extended, the members also voted that it be Thirsk for this week.

Wasn't that long ago that you use to relish the longer young bird races. Whose brain washed you, Mr 6 Otterburns.
Henrik Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 Dont see why you need a meeting, your rule book seems pretty clear to me, Thirsk this week and Otterburn the following week,Surely a delegates meeting cannot over-rule whats written in the rule book. JMO

JMO Common sense prevails but how many weeks do you go on for if for whatever reason you dont get out of Thirsk this weekend and should the Duplication race be back on.Another point to consider should the averages be finished after this week or should they carry on if they vote for the extra race.If they dont you will not get very many pigeons and then be in a postion of dictating to members that they have another race to go. Duplication should be back on, and if the season is continued a week longer then there is no need to make Otterburn part of the averages as i know fanciers going on holiday after this weeks race. ;)
