Guest strapper Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 it would be ideal to folow a farmer as this instance throughout the year and see the ups and downs they go through. maybe get the supermarkets then to pay more for the farmers produce..espeially milk. i think its a top programme..even though i maybe biast because its in my town

As a young lad I always wanted to be a Farmer, but grew up and lived in a concrete jungle for 55 years. Now living in the countryside here in Norfolk, all I see here is fields of cereal crops, sugar beet and Turkey sheds. I would love to work on a farm with livestock, and now retired, and given the opportunity would do it for nothing, I would be in my element.
Guest strapper Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 its the same here bob..this is a market town surounded by countryside and mountains. ive always been into the life of the countryside...so easy and lucky when its on our doorstep

I know what you mean, we have a small farm here just 6 ewe's left to work my young sheep-dogs, my other passion, we had 120 ewe's at one time, watching the prog. last eve. my wife said perhaps we should get some more, it can be very addictive especially when you see the lamb charge as we called it, funny they run the same coarse every year, even funnier when a yearling ewe joins in
Guest lenwadebob Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 you would have to pay them :-) you just want to be close to the sheep :-) :-) ;D :-/ you're nearer to them than me
