magpie Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 Velocity just under 1500 to South Coast from Fougeres with NFC but with the wind picking up from the SSW after fog cleared, I reckon we needed to be 20 minutes earlier and the Bristol boys will dominate the open result again. Still we got all ten in an hour and with such a big spread of birds along the coast that's pretty unusual for us shorter NFC flyers and bodes well for the future.
yeboah Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 Clocked 10-40 from 6-30 lib at Melton Mowbray 205 miles vel approx 1445 9 from 12 home full cloud cover cold strong sw wind
blucock Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 we doing 1308 into Ayrshire, libbed with Lanarkshire - why, i dont know we sending inexperienced yearlings and we were supposed to go up with Ballochmyle - not a HUGE fed which isnt on our line of flight. expletive remove needless to say the birds we setting up for the longer races all home - the yearlings? Probs flying round Lanarkshire going "wheres this, then?" couple more races would be nice before race officials decide to play russian roulette with our season.

I disagree m8, safety in numbers and going with Lanarkshire fed will bring your birds well up the road.If your obs can come home then so can your yearlings.Theres guys in Ayrshire fly in the Lanarkshire fed and really like the racing.
