geordie1234 Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 This maybe sound daft but i was speaking to a neighbour at my new address who has pakistani tumblers and fantails he said he has a lot of trouble with bop but what he has done has attatched little bells to the pakistani tumblers legs and since this he hasnt lost any tumblers only fantails he said the bop cant stand the wee bells anyone else heard of this! if it works maybe an idea for to put on a couple of your doos when out at the loft might just work

greenlands Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 They were no good twenty or so years ago so I can't see them being any good now,I have some somewhere, you attach them to the pigeons tail using a match stick and a race rubber.Send a signal out to percy saying dinners on its way.JMO. Lindsay
billt Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 They were the in thing a couple of years ago, called Bali Bells, I think Boddy and Ridgewood sell themYes, that's right Brian, My old neighbour, a sheep farmer, attaches a small bell to one of his ewe's to keep the fox at bay when the lambs are young, it seems to work and I can hear it a couple of fields away
Guest ljb107 Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 I had problems with peregrines a few years ago and i bought the chinese pigeon whistles that are put on the tails, all i can say is i had no more problems after that
Guest ljb107 Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 does it annoy the doos Well they all come back with them on, so i suppose it doesn't bother them
yeboah Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Tried everything when i lived out on the farm over twelve years ago from Bali bells to terror eyes on there wings and as Linda brooks from the shu quit rightly stated in the bhw NOTHING WORKS if the peregrine is wanting a kill and is in a stoop at 100 plus miles per hour all the pigeons want to do is get the f--- out of the sky .
Guest stb- Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 ali bali ali bali didny work you see its the dinner bell for percy , they appear when they here them
