Walter swanston Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 I am hoping to go with 50 Steven so as to have about 20 at the start of the winter if the hawks leave me that many
geordie1234 Posted April 14, 2011 Author Report Posted April 14, 2011 Can you not ask some guys in your club/fed to breed you some?No mate i got a lot of help last year gifted almost 30 birds the ones that are left are the ones im breeding from so i dont want to ask again i will just have to breed what i can breed and if it meens i only get one or 2 races then it will be one or two races more than last year
dal2 Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 In what way mate like not train them too hard or what Train them deffo but may consider gettin most of yer team tae 120miles or so and stop. At least then next year wont be a case of startin from scratch and you will have some doos wae experience of basket and such but not had the guts knocked out o them. Wae the best will in the world mate you are building a team not lookin tae win the averages!

airdrie2 Posted April 14, 2011 Report Posted April 14, 2011 geo my first year i had 50 ended season racing full programe with 43 before the start of the next season was down to 16 and only got 3 races and shut up shop hawks were terrorising the life out of them and killed a multitude of them kept in all winter this year.but remember it only takes 1 to win a race but its a big learning curve look and listen

geordie1234 Posted April 14, 2011 Author Report Posted April 14, 2011 thought Jim was breeding you a round?I might be getting some latebreds at the end of the season m8! I think I might be alright if I get the other 5 moved across and the other 8 hatch there's 20 so and by that time I could have a could have a couple more pairs down or on there second round. Can ye take 3 rounds from your ob a don't plan on racing them
