i got 2 from my mate in newcastle the sire was bird of the year in their fed but he has also bred birds to win and score as has the hen he was paired to if you went to buy them at the loft they would be £100 each i put an £80 retainer on the pair when i told him how much they went for he said i aint bothered what ever they made will help the wee lass i could get them for nowt but was only to pleased to buy them as i got quality y/bs from a true fancier whos only thoughts was for to help some one in need

garry my friend this is no reflection on you its the guys who pulled the plug after they where sold shame on him

i bought blythy 1 doo for £30 these are a £100 at the loft a generation further removed was sold at auction by stafford for over £400 but martin did not say your not gettin that doo for £30 no i,m sorry but if the prydes loft is ever targeted again which i hope not i certainly would never help them in any way i think they are a disgrace JMO

I ,like many others I am sure, would have been on here monitoring the price the YBs wer going to sell at and buying them back myself if I had an issue wae the price!

They should have made a donation to the cause instead os giving a yb!

Yip disgraceful behaviour which will sour the thoughts of the generous in the future, both for buyers in a charitable sale and the name PRYDE in minds of fellow fanciers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

frank if you read blazes post they told him the birds didnt make enough and were not letting the purchaser have them for that price

i was told that lot 7 w pryde and son would not be allowed to go for sweeties eg £25. so after a phone call to willie pryde i told him birds only made £25 . he said i am not letting them go for that. the bidder wes hall (new to sport and a friend of mine who i try to help in a small way) could have another 2 yb,s but not the 2 in sale. right away put me on back foot and i did not accept.so i said will put up on pigeon bacics lot 7 withdrawn.i then thought i did not want the £25 bid taken out as evry £ counts in somthing like this. (I SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT FOR A BIT AS WES HALL WOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN HIS BID BACK ANYWAY.

so after a phone call to mister ???? wes now has choice of vanlints or frank sheader soonjens with full pedigree.

 

I DON,T WANT THIS SALE TO FINNISH ON A SOUR NOTE AFTER ALL THE HARD WORK FROM IAN McKAY. SO I WILL TELL YOU ALL THIS THE BREEDER OF MY 2 IN THE BREEDER BUYER WHERE BRED IN SECRET BY WEE OLIVIA DOWNIE. SO I HOPE THEY FLY WELL FOR HER FUND.

WELL IT GUTTED ME .I like to help anyone if and when i can. with one wee rule i help you one day i might need you to help me help someone else the next. in this case it is a wee barin (girl) who without help from us and the others that are helping her fund.how would she get treatment.

taking all into consideration we have made £11000 for charity and in the region of £3000 for the one in question, and apart from this one hitch which has been sorted out by others so the auction is not losing anything, I think to keep the greatness of this great and worthwhile auction and thinking about the Family which it has helped and all the great members of pigeonbasics who made it possible,and the good work by IAN think to keep it as such we should maybe bring the above discussions to a close,(not forget) and let us enjoy this good done by all who gave and bought, hoping for your cooperation,

2ybs donated from w pryde and son will be ready to go to Wes in a week. one of the yb,s are the very best they can breed .same way bred winning over £4000 as yearling at S.N.F.C. RACES .as Wes is new to racing pigeons w pryde and son have told him to send up 6 rings next year to bred a kit of 6 for Wes.
