If its just the loft floor he's dominating let them get on with it to sort themselves out. If you remove him in all probability another cock will then take over bossing the floor.

If he's trying to take more than one box put a plastic clip ring on the opposite leg to the ring leg and tie a piece of string between the two leaving 2 inches off play so he can walk about but wont be able to purchase he's feet proper when he's having a fight.

Good advice here, I used low tack tape to do same thing but have tried elastic band also.Theres nothing worse than a bully in the loft and this sorts it out for good.

Cock and his hen laid eggs, but were not interested on sitting on eggs after second egg gave them 2 days then took eggs away. All my birds are yearlings would this have something to do with it?So hoping next week might get more eggs, and hopefully sit this time.I reset the shed up putting more box perches up so he could not see other birds as easy which I hope has helped?Any thoughts. This cock bird father has won regular, especially on bad days for racing, quite a character as well very vocal all birds are Van Loons. It's my first season back only got 3 pairs so was hoping to start breeding early to build up a team of y/b.

like all small children they need teaching , aggressive behaviour is quite normal and can be exploited to motivate the bird , however you want them to be placid at this time of year , most animal groups have dominant males ectra as been said you take one out another takes it place , you can remove it fer a few days quieten it down and put back in loft or simply shut it back :)

I'd go with locking the offending pigeon up in his box for a day (with his hen) then release him, and if he starts again, put him straight back to the box again and lock him up. Repeat till lesson learned.

It takes patience, it wears you down, but it does work. :emoticon-0123-party: eventually

I leave unruly cocks locked in right thru breedin! No riskin stock eggs broken by one roque as I dont keep alot and the eggs are precious!

Cheers guys going to try locking cock & his hen nest box,see how other birds get on.

put a bowl(upturned) or brick in the corner of the box
