Cheers Rabmy first thought it might be night time disturbance. all so if your using poison, take the drinkers away at night.
Rooster J. Cogburn Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 Check the wood on the lower part of your loft for scratch marks. I had a fox annoying the birds once. They seemed fine health wise but were unsettled as you say.
shasha Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 hi m8 .i had similar prob i stay on a farm i thought it was rats so i put down ferret sh** around the hut after that i had no probs m8 .try that m8 let me no how u get on cheers barry.
JohnQuinn Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 I would be inclined to think there wasn't a night time prowler about, or at least one causing this problem, as this would have the same effect on the others whether they could see it or not, fear works its way through all the birds in the same loft. Maybe rodents, so press ahead with getting rid of them. atb
shasha Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 yeah ur right john thats what i had feckin rats all gone now .
Whats it called Cumbernauld Posted February 28, 2011 Author Report Posted February 28, 2011 Thanks for all your help guys. Think got to the bottom of it yesterday. sparrowhawk cling to the front of this section at lunchtime.Had birds out so this was a real near miss.On nightshift at moment, so this prob not the first time. All poison left this morning so hopefully thats the end of the mice for a while at least. Have a box covered in wire all round, may need to cover the top as seeing the birds from the air may be attracting it.It returned after about half an hour birds all secure by then.Feel sure it will return time for action. Thanks again Rab
