For the first time in 16 years of keeping pigeons I experienced what must have been the coldest weather, as I attempted to scrape the lofts out this morning, the droppings on the perches and floor were like marbles, and impossible to shift. In the process I broke 2 V

perches and the handle to my floor scraper, then gave uphttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/crying.gif

I have always wanted to visit Scotland because my ancesters came from there and I served in the forces with The Argyles (wild buckers) and later The Black Watch (mad sods).

My ancesters came from a place called Stobs Castle which I think is near Hawick. Now that I have seen the sort of weather they have, I can see why my lot did a runner, ever if the soldiers helped to make their minds up a bit.

If I ever go to the happy hunting grounds north of the Border, I definately will not do it in the dead of winter. I doubt if my long johns would keep me warm in the winters they have up there.
