Rooster J. Cogburn Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 Shieldhill has produced many famous sons such as PBs very own MUTTLEY 1 and Rangers ace-Davie Weir .Its also where my dad and gran were born so for me personally this result gave me a lot of pleasure when I got hold of it.Hope its of interest to some of the other PB members 4390 birds were liberated on the 1st of July 1939 at 7-10am into a west wind. The Anderson Bros. of Shieldhill clocked their Ch Pd hen "Flora Macdonald" at 4-59am July 2nd flying 550miles,recording a velocity of 1020ypm and winning the greatest pigeon race in Scotland. 2.Kerr Bros,Armadale3.Burrel Bros.,Douglas Water4.H.Scott,Markinch5.Reid Bros,Condorrat6.J.Rutherford,E.Wemyss7.J.Kirkpatrick,Annan8.A.Cook,Tayport9.J.Bisset,Burntisland10.McLean Bros,Coatbridge11.H.Carmichael,Coldstream12.R.M Douglas,Annan13.J.
