shotgun tim Posted March 16, 2009 Author Report Posted March 16, 2009 im not bothered if its legal or illegal i just want to know if there any good
tskyes Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Looks illegal. COMPLIES WITH RPRA RULE 241,SO HOW DOES IT LOOK ILLEGAL ? YOU TELL US WHAT IS LEGAL AND WHAT IS NOT !
Tony C Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 As you asked so nice > 241. The antennae of the ETS must be fitted within the confines of the loft or trapping systems, not underneath external landing boards. Club officials may make random checks at any time. Contravention of this rule will result in disciplinary action under rule 70A.
tskyes Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 THE PAD ISN`T UNDER THE LANDING BOARD IT`S UNDER THE TRAP

Tony I can you need to differentiate between Confines and Confine and confined please... but did notice a part in the RPRA section from Bill about the RPRA NOT endorsing or otherwise any sellers' Wares1
kirky Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 i was gona buy them to replace my sputnicks but changed my mind as thay are all closed in when shut, i like ybs to be able to see out also sun themselfs plus sputnick give extra venterlation.
Tony C Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Landing board/trap whats the difference? to me its all one and the same.
shotgun tim Posted March 16, 2009 Author Report Posted March 16, 2009 all i want to know is ARE THEY ANY GOOD
tskyes Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 all i want to know is ARE THEY ANY GOOD YES
Tony C Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 Tony I can you need to differentiate between Confines and Confine and confined please... but did notice a part in the RPRA section from Bill about the RPRA NOT endorsing or otherwise any sellers' Wares1 If something can be interpreted in more than one way the rule needs to be looked at. This rule was discussed at the last London Region meeting and it was felt that rule 241 needs clarifying.
Tony C Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 YOU CAN BUY AN ETS INSERT FOR YOUR SPUTNIK Can you? I dont know.
pjc Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 the ETS pad would be enclosed in the above trapping system under RPRA rules but would not comply with WHPU rules.
kirky Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 YOU CAN BUY AN ETS INSERT FOR YOUR SPUTNIK i put pad in sputnik full lenth birds just drop onto it no problems.
Guest spin cycle Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 on first look it seems legal as the pad is within the trapping system...but the board over the pad could be considered an extension of the landing board. perhaps a second set of bob wires need to between the external landing board and the ets pad 'sandwich' so the bird can not get get back out but is slowed down enough to be timed. well done tonyc for pointing it out as i'd just considered ok until now.
jakjak Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 As you asked so nice > 241. PIGEON_MAN Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 As you asked so nice > 241. I believe the only part of the trap that is outside the loft is the hinged landing boord so the part which the ETS pad slides into is actually within the confines of the loft.
Guest spin cycle Posted March 16, 2009 Report Posted March 16, 2009 to be honest...does it really matter . i'm using an stb/stall trap but if someone was using ets with that trap it wouldn't bother me....except that he's got 10 seconds while i remove the rubber etc.....but lets not go there (evil)(evil)(evil)
