My usual order is 30. I'd have liked to go down to 20 next year, but I have more birds I want to breed from , so stays at 30 for 2011 at least.

i find my 20 youngsters eat about 1 bag of feed a month ( yb mixed with some tics) costing about £9/bag. so 60 ybs will cost £27/month....if the cost of feed goes up 30% this will rise to £36/month. anyone with 100-200 will be spending £50-£100/month on yb feeding alone

Anyone any ideas how many rings i should order for my first season racing and breeding ive got about 10 pair of doos

i was told, when i started, i'd need 30 ybs/season for three years to build a team. looking back that seems good advice as i actually had less and it took me a little longer.

I Agree with Spin, Don't breed too many 20/30 will be plenty, gives you the chance to know your birds and as they say, only takes one to win, Best of luck for next year :)
