Guest skippersworld Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Well pigeons are in a enclosed shed (apart from way out to outside loft) so shouldnt really blow about much.....!
geordie1234 Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 mate it will prob end up all over your garden from you just walking in and out im constantly brushing up feathers from me going in and out
kirky Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Well pigeons are in a enclosed shed (apart from way out to outside loft) so shouldnt really blow about much.....!you will find that shavings blow to the sides inside the loft leaving the middle of the floor bare boards, also will get into drinkers, you end up walking it out of the loft on your shoes, by all means try it we all have in the past.
greenlands Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 I was reading on another site that PINE has an adverse on pigeons,so if the shavings are pine I would give them a miss, they also blow about in the loft and get in the drinker another reason to have second thoughts.
Guest skippersworld Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Ok, thanks people! Will give it one go and see how messy it gets! Thanks again!
JohnQuinn Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 There was a product on the go i used but haven't seen it lately, its called either Spill Dry/Oil Spill and looks like Kilpatricks Grit, still stuck to the sole of my shoes but the dookit looked great with it down, very Dry floor with that stuff I see a poor imitation on the go that is a Grey sponge kinda material, i wouldn't use it!!
lordcornwallis Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 i use shavings when its damp ,after i scrape the lofts i find it dries the place out just a few handfulls it goes into corners and the drinker but i dont think its a big deal lc
