Are wood shavings a good thing to have on the loft floor to help keep the floor clean and make things a bit easier when cleaning?!?!?!?

Be carefull that the wood has not been treated by something that may affect the birdshttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif

Well pigeons are in a enclosed shed (apart from way out to outside loft) so shouldnt really blow about much.....!

you will find that shavings blow to the sides inside the loft leaving the middle of the floor bare boards, also will get into drinkers, you end up walking it out of the loft on your shoes, by all means try it we all have in the past.

I was reading on another site that PINE has an adverse on pigeons,so if the shavings are pine I would give them a miss, they also blow about in the loft and get in the drinker another reason to have second thoughts.

There was a product on the go i used but haven't seen it lately, its called either Spill Dry/Oil Spill and looks like Kilpatricks Grit, still stuck to the sole of my shoes but the dookit looked great with it down, very Dry floor with that stuff

I see a poor imitation on the go that is a Grey sponge kinda material, i wouldn't use it!!
