Guest bigda Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 yes lanarkshire s/lanarkshire midland and glasgow should all go up together bot will it ever happen they could all go in the same transporter meet at the docks shuffle crates there in to 2 transporters at the most and do the irish route galway for one is 260 mile to glasgow and 267 to newmains now thats not bad over fly for ever member and a extra 10p per bird having as many birds in one race would be near 12,000 birds all heading this way and no obstructions in the way ie hills the 10p equates to£1,200 for ferry costs, now thats not going to put you out the game is it

JADE Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 I see the SILLY SEASON is starting!!! silly season all year round for bigda
gulkie Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 nothin silly about changing from the east.
Guest bigda Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 I see the SILLY SEASON is starting!!! thank god you don't count in the feds mentioned as you are scared of a west route with a east wind, i can imagine yer face should it turn east from there dont think you would send
Guest bigda Posted September 16, 2010 Report Posted September 16, 2010 silly season all year round for bigda how many have you home from the Nat jadeonly trying to get a vote count, if you cant see we need to change i can and the Irish route would be best suited for the lanarkshire and surrounding areas, the daft logic will give you all an idea of distances if you care to look, i dont put my head in the sand when thinking of ways to improve the situation, the Nat has been to Ireland before but there where no hawk problems then as there are now, there are 30,000 pairs of peregrine alone in the uk and at the west to the east of the solway there are 3,000 on there own and when 5,000 pass by it they take 1 bird each from it and injure as many leaving 1.000 to make it on the day 400 the next with featherers missing and another 300 turn up over the week scared, and as for the rest out at sea i belive

JADE Posted September 17, 2010 Report Posted September 17, 2010 will you put yer head up above the parapet jade for the young bird Nat to fly from it i am sure i can get you a few seconders, and i will join the national to race from it to increasing your already dwindling member ship If the national members vote for it I would no doubt give it a go but you and I both know that will never happen. Like I said before why dont Lanarkshire try it first. Your members complain about being cleaned out every year so really you have nothing to lose. I wont hold my breath.

Jade there are already an established east nationalso why not have your own identity there back or fly from Ireland and should you require more distance skibbereen will be far enough at your distance think galway to you is 270 mile skibbereeen 350-380

You should have started it last year when we were flying down the east as the amount of old birds coming back from races with damage done by the BOP was horrendous. Can it be any worse down the west, i,m starting to doubt it???
