Delboy Posted August 14, 2010 Report Posted August 14, 2010 Delboy , I was 1st and 2nd at 4:35:11 and 4:35:18 but think they were in one of the Calders at 4.18pm but no conformation mate never seen doos coming in at the height they did direct out the South but know it was some thrill for me just to see this as just fantastic to watch. Just like a wean Hi Davy, got 2 together at 4.59, didnt trap but timed another 2 before them at 5.02. Had 21/32 in clock in 17 minutes. The nearest to me is 12 miles east, so I know I have no chance as the drag is always east of me but, im delighted to get them home in good time. By the way Davy, when I flew in club in my own area, I was seldom out the top 3 with ybs so you can see how location is everything m8. You try flying against the guys in Dunbar and see how ye get on.

ritchie1 Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 31 back now out of 32 chuffed had a great race long may it last
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted August 15, 2010 Report Posted August 15, 2010 Clocks done 2.5 hours after the first doos home and at club hut returns were 2/3, stopped after this, though we had our 25th one drop between 21.00-21.45 from 33 sent nothing today as of yet. Won Larkhall at 17.05 A little disappointed that my returns are not a little better but no excuse when some fanciers are not far away from 100% returns, this tells me that this has been the best young bird race over 100 miles that Lanarkshire fed has had for many years.JMO
