My brother has some nice ones being grandchildren to most of the champions. It is his first year racing but they are coming well enough in training. I have one from him in my race team so hoping it goes ok! Hope they go ok for him.

One guy on this site timed one at 479 miles this year.

It seems they can do that distance in a form loft if managed properly.

i sent 2 roland jansenns to eastbourne with the snfc 489 mile timed 1 at 6.05 and the other at 7.55 both on the day from 489 mile and was 4th north section 83 open from about 4500 doos .

I know you can say there are good and bad in all families but some guys in our club spent a LOT anad I mean a lot of money (into thousands)to get the Rolands but they have done no good with them at all,saying that though someone could spend £25 and breed no end of winners,as they say thats PIGEON RACING.

bred a cracking hen this year she was coming home in stunning times but she would not trap but she will be crossed this next year with silver shadow so see if the cross works or not will see hope she traps better when a yearling

your right pigeon man we have bought rolands from louella ja mellor and all have bred winners for us

but percentage wise we purchased 3 cocks from frank brownley at border lofts all 3 have bred

1st prize winners plus 2 of them 1st federation winners but then again i think frank got john and alex

mellor involved when he purchased them from rolands

i think so topped the fed with white grizzels and pure whites have found tho they come better

as 2 year olds on widowhood the kweeker 11 lines do very well for me got to agree with most on

here tho for the amount thats in country results are not good enough but can only say the

ones i am racing are very good

one good day dosent make a summer and how many has been breed and bout in the west of lanarkshire gilky you have had the best of thm and one or two have turend up but if you got them frome the bridge and breed 60 one of them could have toped the fed at 60ml in a sw wind so to me the moneys that has changed hands and the amount that has been breed throut the country dosent add up to the other breeds that have had a majer inpackt in this country to me thay are another fether mergents dreem with the poor fancer clutching at straws thinking get them in and here whe go but yet again another couple of years disapont ment

no mate i would give every breed a chance its the fether merchents i dont like because they are new thay buy them breed them dont fly them but sell them make a buck and move on to the next supper doos its a crime but its up to the byer to be more carfule but you could get suckeed into them with the hipe thay have had comeing into this country just trying to help the poor pep that get sucked in
