These are the same injured and wounded that cud not walk up till yesterday, when our 2 canidates where basketed for the last old bird race of the yr (French race Friendship national).. Shall be on edge now till i know the birds are up 2moro, as i never settle when there away. SHall basket up the young ones for a spin a bit later. Good luck to all in scotland and the uk for there long distance races this weekend.
JohnQuinn Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Had the young birds out at 7.30, back in for 8.30, now at work!! Could see it far enough :(
alex young Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Young birds out early for a fly, then I took them for a 10mls single up,clearing well and all home. Going to make my race sheet out for the weekend in case I send to Wollaston(68mls)not keen on this race point being well over in the east and with a breezy ssw.wind forcast they could go well past.

rasbull Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Was planning on taking the birds after work on their 2nd training toss after starting yesterday. The wind has picked up though, with low cloud cover and slight rain in the air. So thought better of it and will get them out for an hour around the loft this evening and hope the weather is better tomorrow.
