I hope the rest start coming for you George, night training can be very dodgy, if Percy hits them they only have 3/4 hours to work back instead of 9/10 hours from a morning toss, i know your hands are tied a bit for the mornings with your work George so you only have time at night to go, so best of luck with getting them back

so george hope you learned from this -wats wrong with short training tosses and build on them .my first toss was top of the football field other siide of the loft, few here then next field over for a few -let them settle in the basket and dont be in a rush to toss them out -building blocks george make strong foundations.

we all have difrent ways of training and racing our birds. if his way or her way or anybody's way was the right way we all would be doing the same. to start yb off training at 10 mile i would agree with as i do the same myself .as long as yb,s are ranging well .this year due to circumstances my yb,s only had 2 10 mile trainers before 1st race 60 mile. all 30 home after training and 1st race.it takes years to learn the right way and wrong way to train and race birds.best advice ask some of the older guys that have raced birds for year, then take out of what you think would work for you.i have yet to meet one that does not give you at least one bit of sound advice. :)

:) well no more from that toss so i lost 5 but quite clearly if they cant do ten mile a cant see them been any good anyway i know they were ready were ready and all started flying with the others that managed there first toss fine actually quicker than the first birds i tossed from the same point so im now left with 17 birds for next year a few more tosses and thats that for them. :)

A few more Tosses could mean a few more Losses George, so be prepared for the worst mate as its usually just over the next hill!!

Aye anno john yer right just the same as you said I would lose 25% which I more or less did so should probaly leave it at that mate although I'm not to happy that half had only one toss

What is the main advantages of splitting the sexes and disadvantages of not. I really don't know whether r not to do as you know I only have a 10x6 so not sure if I should split them up
