The New Setup

Didn't like the new layout of this Basics when it was first changed

Can't seem to find things on this new one

I don't tend to come on here as often now becouse of that.

How do other members find it now????

I'm not very good at finding my way around the site,but now getting the hang of it.

I am of the same opinion. I have not come on here as much. But getting more used to it now. I click the link at the bottom of the page which gives you all the latest posts and threads etc. I liked the 6 or 8 thread box which highlighted the latest discussions on the old forum. I agree that not as many are using the site at present (or dont appear to be) but things change and you either more with the times or get left behind! So its a case of having to get used to it I guess. Some of the features are better and others are going to take time to get used to. Still a great site though! :)

Finding my way around slowly but see where you're coming from fred I think a lot of members are feeling the same. I can't even see who is on line when you log on

I'm finding the reply boxes and private messages very hard going, either that or there is something wrong with my PC, sometimes i just cannot post.

The only way i can post or pm is by clciking the "post" or "send" buttons first, then i get an error message "You must enter a post" and the box appears. Fast reply does not work at all. Maybe something to do with windows 7????

Its windows 7 I'm using mick and have had no problems so far.

didnt like the new layout when i first came back on, but its no different to the old basics really apart from a more modern look about it........most members would have mainly just used the portal anyway so as it has the portal button on the navigation bar whats any different ?

 

yes some things are different ie pm`s etc, but the main site and getting around it isnt difficult in any way, and im no computer expert.............

i have noticed that a lot off the old timers are never on line any more i think it is because of the new site

it does take a bit of getting used to,some members never gave it a chance,they took one look and that was it,everything takes time but it is well worth it in the end

Could not agree more Tammy m8, once you master it, it is much better and more upto date than the OLD one:P
