Pompey Mick Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 10 out of 11 from Stratford, been raining since 10.00am apart from a short break mid-afternoon. Very miserable weather at the moment 16.00hrs.
swilcox Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 46 out of 56 so far! 160 mls and the first pigeon was on 4 hours. Some bad returns into the South West for the North Roaders! The funny thing is we sent 20 Latebreds and 18 are home!!!!! Stuart

Guest Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 14 out of 16 so far but well spread out. Latebred + 2yo missing. Billy_g took 1st & 2nd club. Cracking velocities,, 1777 & 1764,, from Otterburn, just under 85 miles, SE wind, 507 birds. There are 10 birds on the result doing over 1700 ypm.
Guest jason Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 just got back from our club, some members have a lot missing tonite, they were flying from cheltenham with the border amal. Mick & Tina law won with a velocity of 1691 for 124 miles.
square_peg Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 WE DONT START RACING TILL NEXT SAT WE TRAINED TODAY 3 OF US 90 DOO'S GOOD TOSS BUT THE LAST OF THEM WELL SPLIT UP I HAVE FOUND THAT WHEN YOU GET EAST IN THE WIND,DONT MATTER IF ITS N/E OR S/E YOU ALLWAYS GET FUNNY RETURNS THING IS THE WINNERS ARE BANG ON TIME
GREENGRASS Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 We raced from Catterick and had a good liberation with birds clearing to the North West quickly with weather at the home end seemingly perfect. Yet the gaps in returns were massive with a lot of fanciers reporting birds arriving well apart. Myself I am waiting on 2 from 15 sent, both yearlings and not latebreeds. really was a strange day but yet it seemed to be perfect. true what they say east wind spell trouble.
T_T Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 Seems as though some of you folks had good returns yesterday, we were at Poole and some of our returns on the night were-: 2 from 9, 4 from 12, 10 from 30, 4 from 20, 11 from 20, 1 from 11. Bit sole destroying for all concerned. Hyacinth, keeping canary's is looking good.!!!
