Guest Doostalker Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 Poor. Lots of guys still waiting on birds. Some big losses across the board. Winning birds doing nearly 70mph. I got only 2 back out of 8.
Diamond dave Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 Yep, got all my experienced birds but dropped a couple of yearlings (am only left with one yearling now) - Can only blame myself cos I new it was gonna be a tricky East wind. - Hindsight...... a wonderful thing. I'm sure the doostalker is right about the losses but I wonder what percentage will be yearlings????

sapper756 Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 SENT 20, GOT 16 ON THE DAY & 1 THIS MORNING. STILL 3 DOWN
pj1001 Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 A 4 year old blue hen from Southampton and a yearling chequer cock from Ipswich came in with birds this morning. Have contacted owners and hope to get them across to Sennen Cove this weekend. The 4 year old hen has flown from France 8 times owner can't work out why she ended up here. I'd say must have got caught up with Irish birds liberated in Bude at 7-00am and 7-30am and caught up in south east winds. Some fanciers experienced heavy losses here yesterday also both on channel and inland, in some case over 50% losses.
JAS Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 Sent 36 to Stratford only got 13 back and we are one of the lucky ones. We only had 7 on the night.
Mike Lycett Posted June 11, 2006 Report Posted June 11, 2006 100% - but there's some shocking returns knocking around. SCots lads had it tough from South Coast
