How many % do you reckon the clubs have been down at basketing this week ? our club would normally send 10 or 12 baskets .....only 5 this week.

This week my Club sent 222 birds to Kingsdown with the Solent Fed, last week we sent 224 with two more members competing. I sent 10.

Think we were one of the few Feds in the Scottish Central Belt that didn't get slaughtered last Saturday.

 

We sent 13 baskets last week, 17 this week.

The weather has put members off sending this week - our club down from 20 baskets to 12

we sent 18 baskets this week and last week we sent 15 so on the up 4 us,

Todmorden hs sent 202 birds last week, this week we sent 145 birds, every member had heavy losses last week, one lad lost all his last week so his seasons ended, he is only 16 and last week was his 3rd ever race. He as spoken tonite of calling it a day but luckily we managed to talk him round and we're all going to give him some late-breds to play with.

We expected about 500 for the trainer, but the bad toss during the week, made a few gun shy.

yours truly was 1,2.3.4. winning 250 quid in CLUB      15 years ago,,talk about a dying sport,,,,,what can be done,,,,,,A LOT

our club has sent 214 birds this week compared to 202 last week

Jimmy is that the results that we looked at the other day ? there is a lot that can be done to get the sport back to what it used to be....attract more people to it, maybe old fanciers that have packed in or youngsters that their family's have had doos and now don't ...get them interested again somehow !!, a lot of clubs would,nt have 250 quid in the pools nowadays never mind 15 years ago   FACT   .

Now i know why you've got a bad back.. all that cash you,ve got piled up under your bed has done the damage  ;D ;D

We collect three clubs on a trailer, and had a full trailer of 24+ 1 in the boot, earlier in the season. Last night just 10 crates

Our club was down to 7 members sending 41 pigeons(normally would be 180)

It aint just pigeons that is a dying sport. Ten years ago, I knew about ten local rugby clubs, that ran six teams, now none. Most struggle to run three.
