MY CLUB NOVAR HS KDY ARE TALKING ABOUT GOING ETS   WAS WONDERING IF MEMBERS ON FORUM WHO USE ETS HAVE ANY INPUT    GOOD   OR  BAD    DONT REALLY MATTER TO ME  BUT AS PRESIDENT I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS       PLEASE HELP

We use Benzing and like all there clocks, no problems and good service on troubleshooting here . I use the cheaper EXPRESS and can have 8 races going and holds  for 500 birds in data base

once you have used ETS you wont go back to manual clocks i ve used one for 3years now

it is a touchy subject,lol i will probably get critisised now but i still would like to race to the old methods,bird coming home making him trap in and to get hold of the bird take the rubber off and time him in,but i can see the good points of the ets but i can also see some bad points

my club rosewell whc have members who have been using ets for the past two seasons and i must say it is so simple to use i would recomend it  to anyone thinking of buying it

The next time you are along at methilhill  the guys along there will help you in any - way with what you want to no about the ETS system,

 

There is always one of the guys there on a monday night, or you may get 2-3 who use it in our club, fire the questions/queries you have to them they will keep you up-to date mate.

i tend to go for the side that prefers the old method ,ets is a god send for flyers who are disabled ,this will enable them to participate in the sport .

as wiley said..i prefer the old method cause i feel ur more involved with the race...just sitting watching a bird enter ur cot isnt my cup of tea.

Used both Benzing and Unikon, think it's the best thing since sliced bread, of the two I've used I prefer the Unikon.

Is there a computer race program available that will take both ETS and traditional timings for Club race results. What programs are in use in Scotland?

Wynn will, also are merit, goldern Ring, averages etc. and can do the breeding, training and racing for your own loft... and always able to go stariaght in and see your, fed... whatever is relevant

I HAVE ASKED QUESTIONS ON ETS  ON OTHER THREAD,BUT ,NO REPLY JUST THOUGHT WITH IT BEING THE MAJOR PLAYER IN A LOT OF THE "BREAKAWAYS" HERE IN SCOTLAND I WOULD GET MORE INFO, WE WILL FIND OUT WHEN WE GET A DEMO BY THE SALESMAN,AND HOPEFULLY ALL QUERIES WILL BE ANSWERED

I think equipping the whole club is the way to go. Nobody can then claim to be disadvantaged, which I think you'll find is the main complaint.

 

And if you can get someone else to pay for it - a grant - even better.

 

Definitely way to go. Easier on the fancier [age and disability leveller] easier on the birds and an absolute dream on marking nights.
