FANCY BIRDS AT BLACKPOOL

im sorry having to ask this

BUT

was there a fancy bird show in blackpool sometime lately

as im hoping to get next week

and was looking forward to seeing some fantails

HAVE I MISSED SOMETHING

 

you might see some indian fantails at blackpool mick, but dont think there will be any other fantail breeds on show.

If things go tits up with racing pigeons over the next few years I would love some of them fancy breeds.Last time I was at B/Pool I took a fancy to Jackobins or the long neck type beautiful.

yep that is where it is Phil and wish it was better signed because I know a lot of folk miss it because they just pass the staircase, but I think they were going to put a better sign up as you approach the staircase

i like the pouters,show racers and modenas  but ill need to conquer my racers before branching out

I really enjoyed looking at the fancy pigeons last year - and spent a few hours in the room - to be honest they were a lot more interesting than the race birds down stairs. Also there were a lot more people around who explained things to you (a friendly lot) plus a program for the classes which made it easier to follow as well - there were birds for sale at very reasonable prices (well - I mean cheap !)

We are a very friendly lot,or at least we try to be as welcoming as possible to show people that there is a massive show scene in Britain,there are shows on every single week for about 10 months of the year,there is life outside racing and showing is a great hobby,glad you saw the birds.hope you will this year too

yes i do agree we are mostly a good bunch and do our upmost to help the people that really want to get involved with us all are welcome and any questions or advice im sure someone can answer for you
