HOMER49 Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 Hi Heard that Ken Buchanan has had his first 2 pigeons in the SNRPC Tours race disqualified 2nd and 3rd section as well wonder why ? Cheers Homer 49

frank-123 Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 no matter what it was bet it was a mistake
HOMER49 Posted July 16, 2007 Author Report Posted July 16, 2007 no matter what it was bet it was a mistake Hi bart My source in the SNRPC now tells me there was a objection to his first 2 pigeons The plot thickens I will bet Kens not amused Cheers Homer49
jimmy white Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 i would feel sorry for the owner and the birds ,,,of any organisation , really a rotten thing to happen , lets hope its rectified , and he keeps his positions , after all its not really fair on the rest of the positions,,off course hell have the right of appeal , but could be a simple mistake,, so i think waiting on the proper outcome will give you the answer
Guest Posted July 16, 2007 Report Posted July 16, 2007 nice and simple his clock was checked outside the 23hr rule and ken withdrew them the third bird was inside the rule another stupid 100 year old rule that needs to be changed in my mind good birds good fancier stupid rule but rules are rules
jimmy_bulger Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 IN A WORD "BOLLICKS" COMMON SENSE SHOULD PREFAILE .
NANCYVIEWLOFTS Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 yes i agree it was a rule introduced when only toulet clocks and other makes were used so if you went over the 23 hours you could not tell which day you had clocked now the date is printed but unfortunatly puncture clocks are still in use so maybe the rule should be change to accomodate for these clocks
Chris Little Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Ken's birds from Tours were not disqualified
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 So its a lot of crap then Chris ? think frankdoomans post above said that ken withdrew his birds, so technically dunno if that means they were not disqualified
Guest Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 think it is rediculous pigeons flying all that way winning major prizes then through some pre historic rule it changes everything ,but still good on ken in withdrawing them thats sportsmanship and its only a matter of time before one of them nationalss are won in hamilton ,good on you ken ;D ;D ;D
Chris Little Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 The race concerned wasn't Tours, the matter has been dealt with accordinly and is now closed, end off
Guest Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Chris as it is 'end of', perhaps you'd explain end of what exactly.......cause your post makes you out to be the enforcer.....and by implication that something untoward had happened??
Guest Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Agree with sentiments, wouldn't like to see these birds lose their positions in this way. Also wondered as clock meeting is usually scheduled e.g. Club A, 8 till 1000 ,, how could this happen?
Guest Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 :Pdont think it has got anything to do with anyone on here what happens or happend thats down to ken buchanan and the club he flies in
elanco Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 dont think it has got anything to do with anyone on here what happens or happend thats down to ken buchanan and the club he flies in yes, but if other clubs can learn a lesson from this is it not better to get it out in the open?
Guest Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 Sammy, its of interest, we can all learn if a procedure needs changing?
johno Posted July 17, 2007 Report Posted July 17, 2007 the committe had only to decide whether or not to accept ken buchanans proposal to withdraw his birds. the committe decided to accept. an objection was lodged based on the 23 hour rule. to avoid debate and further discussion ken buchanan in a gentlemanly fashion put forward the proposal that he would withdraw his birds. this was accepted. as chris says done and dusted.
