jimmy white Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 these guys deserve a medal when you consider the shortest fliers are flying just over 200 miles [no offence to the shorter flyers ,im sure they would agree]

frank-123 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 heard returns were poor in the west 0/6 1/20 2/20 are some of the returns i heard tonight
Guest stevie-b Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 1/10. pigeons were sent bang on something went seriously wrong. g.i. mcpherson has 2 pigeons reported in maidstone
me Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 heard returns were poor in the west 0/6 1/20 2/20 are some of the returns i heard tonight Flying birds to the west of the country is completely different from any other area said exactly the same thing at this time last year and was poo pooed. Bottom line anyone from the west of scotland who sends 20 young pigeons to the YBN asks for all they get.
DECKY Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 3/9 sent.Timed 4.27, 6.00 and next morning at 8.30.Two of these will figure in result.Dont know where west birds are.Same story most years, but weather was perfect this year and still returns terrible.Maybe sections B,C and G should be liberated at different time from sections A,D,E and F.Then I suppose you would have people say that this is not a National, but in my opinion it is not a National just now.The south east corner dominate every year, then the birds hit Dunbar, then Edinburgh, Dundee,Fife,Central Fed,40 minutes later the birds start to appear in the west section.I fly 261mls from Leicester but I reckon my ybs have to fly 300mls to get home.We have to be looking to make things fairer and more a level playing field
Jumbo Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 Have got 3 of the 5 birds i sent 324miles got 1 on the day and 2 yesterday 1 of them was bred by my good friend Roundo from this site
DECKY Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 got another 2 this afternoon. Now 5/9.Birds are extremely tired
