Well just back from the night out and it has to be said it was very very poor from the main guest to the poor main course to the the fact that even the comedian didn't turn up, lucky man he was.

Only good thing about the night was the great company i was in within the function room.

Well i have to say i thought the meal was great and i thought the guest was spot on aswell and has been 1 of the best fliers in Scotland for the last few years but then again is it anyones fault in our fed that the comedian did'nt turn up?????

Which company was used to book the comedian was it by any chance called the "Funny farm" because in going to another yearly function for the last 25 years never have i known the comedian not to turn up, so to answer your question alf yes someone has to be accountable for a cock up for the 2nd year in a row.

As one who has run these kind of functions don't judge it against last year or any other year. Things change lot's of things are different meals are hard to get right and please everyone :'( :'( :'(

 

All good fanciers are not cut out to be speakers as long as you found some good company.

Carrigans usually have high standard's and being a regular visitor of the place even going back to the 80's when they had there pub in Blantyre this to me was not a patch on the quality they usually serve up. Perhaps because of the large numbers being served at the one time could have been the cause of this or our table was unlucky, one thing i will say is the service is very quick which is sometimes hard to get in a large garthering.
