just ask me Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 just wanted to know what u tought which system is best to use and please this thread not about weather or not ets should be used
PIGEON_MAN Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 Whichever one you choose they basically all do the same thing what I would say is see what your club is using and ask whoever does the computer side of it which one he or she would like you to get, makes live a lot easier for them.
Blue Tooner Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 Our club uses Unikon and it is so simple to use from the fanciers point of view. I also am responsible for assigning all members ets rings and this again is quite straightforward (if fanciers know their own pigeons ring numbers that is ;D) so I would have no hesitstion in reccomending Unikon. We also use East Coast softwares FSS to manage our clocks and results and what a brilliant programme this is. It is far better than the Unikon software. As for the other brands of ets, I couldn't comment as I have never used or seen them in operation. No complaints about Unikon, first class system.
THE FIFER Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 our club uses UNIKON, and had no problems, works out the velocities etc.
Taylorsloft Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 unikon in my club . in fact its only unikon in aberdeen

ALF Posted August 17, 2008 Report Posted August 17, 2008 The cheapest car battery ( 300 amp approx 25 ) will last for approx 30-36 hours using the 1 pad at a time with it

Fifer just watch you dont get caught out with the power pack as they have a habit of ghosting on and off as they start to lose charge and may miss a doo Thats the reason dougie Bald does'nt take them to any demo's now as i was through at his place with 1 of my club members as his clock had missed pigeons from a race but had clocked later ones and it was narrowed down to the power pack as since he switched to a car battery no more problems ps .....this has happened to 3 members in my club now : : : : :
