kev01293 Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 hi stokey i would have thought that ets is perfect for you especially with you being in a wheelchair as you say you,ve lost time in the past but now the boot is on the other foot club members are complaing, some people will whinge and moan regardless of what happens so i would just leave them to get on with it and enjoy your birds good luck for next year all the best kev
Guest 67ghirl Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 You're spot on there about having to get the Pigeons home first. I wouldn't worry about them, if they are Petty enough to pack up then it's their Loss. We have yet to see any Entire Clearance sale advertised stating ETS is to Blame! You stick in there - if your Bids don't win just tell them you're Birds are at a disadvantage due to carrying the weightier ETS ring
Taylorsloft Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 give them a loan of a wheel chair and see how they get on .name and shame them
smiler Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 the club im joining in dec supplies u with a ets
OLDYELLOW Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 hi lads and lassies what do you think of this then, had a car accident 14 years ago which left me in a wheel chair,my wife helps me with the birds, but is'nt keen on them,so i bought the ets to fly next year, when i put it to the club i want to use the system some members i heard were going to pack in flying, this as caused a bit of friction down the club, ive never moaned in 14 years a bout loosing time, now there worried a bout 20 seconds so they say, what they must do first his get the pigeons home ,its made me looking for another club to race in,i only want use it for young birds. can you tell me what you think well im also disabled but not in a wheel chair the ETS was designed for everyone and is especialy the disabled fancier get there misses to chain and paddlock them to a wheel chair for the day the small minded gits , then im sure they'd let you , suppose at a push you could hit a home run with disabilty discrimination laws to shut the biggots up either way i wish you the best , theres a few disabled fanciers on here and one in a wheel chair like yourself enjoy your birds rember pigeon racing is for everyone young old disabled , dont let them get you down
allenyeates Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 Sorry to hear of your plight Stokey old mate. It,s a pity you have such idiots in your club. Let them resign it,s not your problem just their small minded inadequencies. My own club is great and nobody moans or groans who uses what. I personally use a T3 but afew of the top flyers got in ETS. Every member just saw it for what it is......... Progress. Good luck and worry about yours and your own and not the wingers.... It is ment to be a sport after all
THE FIFER Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 ETS is a clock past for use so use it m8, and the best of luck. everyone in my club has one and they are great, when they first came into force in Scotland I was dead against them, argued at SHU meetings and voted against it at the AGM when it was passed, now! I would'nt be without one,

Once the majority of fanciers see how much easier and efficient things are using it I'm sure they'll wonder why it wasn't introduced years ago. Well done to Fifer for an honest reply and I wish you all the best using your ETS and I'm pretty sure you'll be using it on all your birds soon rather than just your y/b's

Back to post and Stokey just do it and *expletive removed* the moanin rsholes, let them 'no' walk in your shoes for just one day and see what they could really moan aboot. Stick in and all the best of luck for your 2009 season. Many would just give up a lot of things in life after what you haver suffered. I take my hat off to you and yours.

just ask me Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 imagine we are trying to put the pigeon sport in a better light with the non fanicers imagine if this story got out into the public domain what a disgrace

It's not about living, giving and fulfilling now, it's just ME ME ME ME ME. SAD!
Novice Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 I believe that when RPRA introduced ETS they quoted that they had to allow this to go ahead as to not do so would be breaking discrimination laws.
