SNFC MEETING

Certain 'basics members were able to attend this meeting.

 

The President must have opened the meeting and explained its purpose. My information is [don't know the exact order of business] he then read a statement from the club, a letter of accusation, and a letter from the accused.

 

Has any of this information been posted in this thread?  No. What has been posted instead? Opinion. So what facts were those opinions based on ?  Or is it another case of opinion =  fact, or opinion based on no facts?

 

No it doesn't suit me, Bart, and maybe it doesn't suit others too, that folk see fit to open a thread and populate it with opinion on a meeting and at the same time leave out the facts of what happened there. I wasn't there but I have been told of at least three items read out that I would be interested in knowing more about.

 

But then knowing the facts might not suit some people.

My understanding is that lawyers are involved but surley the president could have said to certain questions Yes I can reply to this or that or no I can't

This was not the case for as he finished reading the statement he closed the meeting

Knowing the true facts about what happened and did not happen with give the membership the chance to make up there own mines

bruno you refer to accusations and accused. I was of the impression you were not at the meeing. have you seen the minutes or is your hearsay and rumour of better quality than the rest of ours? accusations and accused are strong words usually used in a court or in a dispute.

the snfc is turning out like the shu its a joke and the members who care are the ones who suffer.

This subject has already grown arms and legs all because of speculation. I believe there has been a lot of discontent with some of the organisations so much so Scottish clubs and feds are joining the RPRA. I stand to be corrected, but what does it say for the sport in Scotland when the senior associations are living in never never land. The club is only as strong as the members what happens if there are none. :'( :'(

I was not prepared to post the actual content of statements read out at meeting because Bruno,

I have tried to post thing regarding other treads on the SNFC rumours , call them what u want before only to find they have been withdrawn…ring any bell’s Bruno.

How, I care about the SNFC so much so I got a non-fancier to be ready and time pigeons in for me just in case there was a liberation. I had a lot of miles to travel to get there so if me starting the tread  got you back up, tuff.

Now you can sit and pick holes in my wording, spelling etc and try &  have a go at me not being as well educated as your good self Bruno but one thing is for sure the whole thing has been handled badly., and why could these statements not have been sent to each member of the SNFC, by letter, which then would not have wasted everyone’s time travelling etc and might have calmed the situation down a little

This subject has as you rightly say been dogged by rumour rather than fact. The site is not here to spread rumours it is here to share factual information. The last thing said on this forum about this was:-

Think everyone was expecting a statement from SNFC and the letter calling the meeting was quite clear in its purpose "inform the membership as to the facts known to the officials regarding correspondance received and subsequent events e.g police involvement."

 

So any report on that meeting was 'the further details from the SNFC' we have all awaited. We didn't get that.

 

Yes, Elanco, given the distance you had to travel for a meeting that I've been told lasted all of 4 [four] minutes I'd be pssd too.

I was interested in the 'letters' received and read out at the meeting - and the 'statement' of facts known to the officials regarding correspondance received and subsequent events e.g. police involvement.' which I understand was also read out at the meeting.

i think everyone should wait and see. i intend to compile a letter of complaint, which i intend to hand in to the police and let them deal with this matter once and for all, as nothing seems to be going forward in this matter, shall also send a letter of complaint to snfc >

Suggest get your facts straight. I was not at the meeting and was quite pleased to see a thread on it hoping for some information. My complaint was the lack of information. The newspaper story only broke on 9th August and it was webmaster who posted a link to it here on this forum. What went before was judged by moderators and webmaster to be out of order, and there are posts from the webmaster explaining that, including the one I quoted earlier in this thread.

Points in your post are lost on me: if I was at the meeting or had read the minutes I would not be asking for information on the meeting.

 

I wanted to attend for two reasons: the meeting agenda, and to collect a pigeon. The arrangement fell-thro and I collected the bird late last night from the person's home. He had attended the meeting. I apologised for not being able to attend and collect, or arrange someone to collect the pigeon, and simply mentioned I'd picked up on the web that folks weren't too happy with the meeting. and he told me '3 items were read out and the meeting was closed after 4 minutes'. Good manners dictated that my time was spent discussing his pigeons and 'pigeons', and not the meeting, so that's my source and my sum knowledge of the meeting, make of it what you will.

 

The SNFC letter dated 30th July mentioned 'police investigation'. The SNFC letter 8th August mentioned 'poilce involvement'. My words were used in the correct context.

why does this keep dragging on yes it has been handeled differently but what has got to be remembered here is our officals are no lawyers or politicians they are working class men trying there best for our sport maybee we should lay of the critisism untill there is a full dossier been shown to the members with all the facts.
