merrysilver Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Has anybody ever bought ybs from The Natural Breeding Station (belgium). If so what strain and were they any good.
thunderboult Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 i tried a kit of jos thones, they were alright took a few prizes . i think most of em made it to the yearling stage. 1 of them is the sire to a hen that won bergerac for me last season.
hotrod Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 i have tried a couple of tourniers again as last post a few minor prizes , not bad from two, but one thing i noticed when i was at the breading station in antwerp was the birds dont look happy, i dont like to see that in birds
hotrod Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 do they have a website , there was an advert in bhw last week or the week before
DeDarren Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 There is at least one other thread on here regarding YB's from the Natural Breeding Station if you require more answers guys, or if you find that answers are less than forthcoming on this thread. A recent winner of the Europa 1 Loft race was a Natural Stud bred Vandenabeele and yes they do have a website, just send them a message via the website and they will forward you a list of strains.

BANDIT Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 Ive been to the breeding station a couple of times over the years and if you travel to antwerp its worth the visit. I bought 2 black leus hens this year and hope to race their youngsters later this year. They also have a great pigeon museum with old clocks and many other things to see. The birds on view and there are thousands look great. BANDIT

BANDIT Their Natural products (Naturaline, Brewers yeast etc) are also cheaper if you buy there - and they sell baskets at great prices (to bring your youngsters home (evil) ) I bought a 10 bird basket for £16 they take euros or sterling
Tenny Posted February 4, 2009 Report Posted February 4, 2009 You are both right! The pigeon was a silver toye and it was bred by the natural breeding station

I'll be trainer and they'll get informed on its progress and share in pools wins if it chalks. Certainly decent prices 20 quids ok. Wish I had ordered more but too late now. I will get my other two from either one of the fancers on the trips if prices aren't too mental or lier market if I can spot some decent healthy fat squeakers. Looking forward to it haven't had a holiday for two years. Set off at 00.45 tonight

OLDYELLOW Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 i suppose any colour possible you only ever get to know the good ones and assume that there all of same colour unless you vist the loft of Van Dyjck , i suppose the Natural Breeding station Bought a full round of what he had and hence the diverse colour range did you see any mealys / reds in the Van Dyjcks ?

Didn't see any reds or mealies there were grizzles though. The bird seems intelligent enough so time will tell what he's like
