jock3 Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 no you cant , lanarkshire has a rule to stop it
kelly tom Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 You can fly with the Stockton Fed in the Great Yorkshire Amal and you can fly in the Darlington Fed in the Durham Combine where i live but i believe that Lanarshire Fed has a rule which says that you are not allowed to be a member of another Fed.
hotboy Posted March 8, 2009 Author Report Posted March 8, 2009 didnt think you could fly in both just had an argument with some one how thinks they can do it this year
Guest Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 didnt think you could fly in both just had an argument with some one how thinks they can do it this year The only exception to the rule is, if you had held duel membership of two feds before 1986 or 87 sometime around that date.
Roland Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 Many do... even Three! Say the Peterborough Fed, Sleaford Fed and the Harrowden Fed.... many do!
hotboy Posted March 8, 2009 Author Report Posted March 8, 2009 hes been a member in the south fed for 8 years or so and just joined a club in lanarkshire this year .
Guest kev d Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 it could only happen in pigeon racing , to many stupid rules it makes you wander why people leave the sport they love .
fosseside Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 depends on the fed in question ive done it
Guest Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 hes been a member in the south fed for 8 years or so and just joined a club in lanarkshire this year . Think i know who you are talking about, but as i said he would have had to have held duel membership from around 1986.So he has had it.
hotboy Posted March 8, 2009 Author Report Posted March 8, 2009 think hes had it then ian henderson says theres no way it can be happen unless he gets it in writting from the secretary of the wee fed to say he has resigned from it .before the raceing starts
fletch Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 yes u can if u fly in two diffrent clubs that are in two diffrent feds there is know reason why u cant fly in two clubs
PIGEON_MAN Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 You can fly with the Stockton Fed in the Great Yorkshire Amal and you can fly in the Darlington Fed in the Durham Combine where i live but i believe that Lanarshire Fed has a rule which says that you are not allowed to be a member of another Fed. Any idea why such a rule would be in force, seems strange to me.
HOMER49 Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 Any idea why such a rule would be in force, seems strange to me. Hi It was voted in at a agm and is still in force today Cheers Homer 49
kelly tom Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 Pigeonman i have no idea i left Scotland in 1985 i was a member of Lanarkshire Fed when i left but i can remember that there was a rule regarding dual memberships of Feds.I know that some members in the East section would have ben in the radius of the Midland Fed and some in the West section would have been in the radius of the Glasgow Fed.If you read a lot of the posts by the Scottish lads there is a lot of politics involved in the game.
fosseside Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 midland and northwest in places are in the radius of each other
hotboy Posted March 8, 2009 Author Report Posted March 8, 2009 you would think if you cant fly in the both fed you shouldnt be able 2 join a club in lanarkshire and south lanarkshire unless you resgn out one
