OLDYELLOW Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 a silver quartz ? thought all quartz were red
bluey Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Try a new battery before even thinking about a service. Also do a 24 hr set, run and check strike times with TIM (speaking clock) dial 123 from a landline. People have been known to mis-read the print out. If you can't do it yourself try and find someone who can before wasting any money on a problem that may not be there.
Roland Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 Ask for you money back! Bet he soon fixes it, the arrogant plonker.

Why worry anyway if it as lost a minute, depending on how long the clock was running on your last race I would say that it is well within the limits,it would be good to have the clock running as near correct as possible each race but if you know that its running 1 minute slow each week I would leave it alone.
Guest shadow Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 any clock setter worth his salt should sort it and if only 8 months old does not need a service I suspect it could be older than 8 months as the latestest models are red
THE FIFER Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 any clock setter worth his salt should sort it and if only 8 months old does not need a service I suspect it could be older than 8 months as the latestest models are red and the red case has been out for a long time.
