Guest Gareth Rankin Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 Does no good although you may feel better as these people that work for the RSPB are brain washed and you will never change there mind, i should no as the father in law works for them and is full of RSPB proper gander. :(

Guest Owen Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 Every year for years past I have attended the Royal Welsh Show. RSPB have a stand there and I always go along to have my annual chip at them. I don't raise my voice much, so that they don't have the excuse to ask me to leave, but I speak in such a way that everyone can hear me. It's quite good sport for me and most of the people who live and work on the land know the truth of their propergander. The best thing is that I am not the only one who does it. Last year there were three of us at it. By the way, I did not know the other two, so no-one can accuse me of setting things up. It's doubtful if I make much differance to the died in the wood RSPB fan, but I am sure that those who overhear these conversations must wonder about it all. Today, I called in at Abergavenny to carry out a bit of business and as I left I saw some white pigeons flying over Llanfoist, a village on the outskirts. So I stopped and watched them for a short while. A little while later I met the owners of the birds which turned out to be mostly doves. During the conversation that followed the lady said she really liked the doves but she hated to see them eaten alive by the sparrow hawk. The damn things are everywhere now.
walterbmasson Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 COULD YOU NOT TAKE A FEW BILL BOARDS (POSTERS) INTO THE HOW AND SHOW THEM BESIDE THE RSPB YOUR DOING NO HARM JUST LETTING PEOPLE KNOW THE TRUE FACTS WHAT THERE ABOUT ASK THEM IN FRONT OF PEOPLE IF THEY STAND FOR THE KILLERS IHAVE ALSO APPROCHT ED ONE IN A VAN AND HE EACTUALLY AGREED WITH ME BUT I MUST ADMIT I WASNT VERY NICE TO HIM INFACT I HAD A WE BIT OF ADVERSE AFFECT OF NICE BUT OWEN YOUR RIGHT A FEW IS NO GOOD YOU HAVE TO GET THE MEDIA INVOLVED WITH THE FINCHES TITS ETC
Blue Chequer Pied Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 There is definately mileage in contacting the 'Save our songbirds society' from what I know the organisation is made up of disillusioned ex RSPB members who feel that birds of prey are over protected and thus having a disasterous effect on the native songbird population. Paul.
Guest kev d Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 when i was talking to this muppet with his jelled up hair in his early 20,s i told him about the song birds and house sparrows and pigeons getting attack and eaten , he said how do you know that , i said i dont walk around with my eyes shut then i said if i found a injured bird would the RSPB take it off my hands , he said no thats the RSPCA job . i did offer to show him this web site to see for him self the threads about birds of prey he did not have time .
Guest numpty01 Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 no and the rspb will never have time to listen we as fanciers should get all unions to act as one against the birds of pray but im sorry we went along the lines of owls and fanciers wanted to talk but not do anything constructive so back to square one im afraid buttttttt their is a way but you all must act wear the jacket it works ????????
Roland Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 BOP eating BOP.... well soon will have too.... won't be oat else left .... except a few of us breeding pigeons for them.
jimmy white Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 There is definately mileage in contacting the 'Save our songbirds society' from what I know the organisation is made up of disillusioned ex RSPB members who feel that birds of prey are over protected and thus having a disasterous effect on the native songbird population. Paul. this is true, as im a member , but i feel the rspb are a powerfull [and rich] organization,,,,,and very hard to beat,,,but , all rallying together , farmers, gamekeepers , the s, o ,s and anyone at all , can all , at least tryto do their bit , the hawk problem is worse than its ever been b4 ,, giving in , is no good,,, after all, david beat goliath ,,,but a big problem
just ask me Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 the unfortunate thing is i feel going down the route of joining together would take up too 10 years to have any effect what so ever my own opinion on the matter is we all do a little bit
