WELSH WIZARD Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 How many fanciers clean their drinkers before they but fresh water in or do you just top the drinkers up.PLEASE BE HONEST.I put fresh water everyday but do not clean them.Give reasons if you want but not important.
Guest ljb107 Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 I top the drinkers up everyday and clean the drinkers when I clean the loft out. I don't like anything in the loft too clean. Lloyd

Tony C Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 I've two drinkers per section which are alternated, one in use the other washed and left it to dry. Water changed twice per day so the drinker I take out in the morning is cleaned and left to dry then is used in the afternoon.
Roland Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Well in race season, starting soon I wash the drinkers every day and use fresh spring water - mostly as I have to travel 3 miles to fetch and Joyce finds it heavy work walking thare and back with a 5 galleon water container lol ;D ;D - sure miss some days, so leave tap water out over night .... then often empty that and send joyce to fetch some. Only fair as she said that it was wasting petrol money better spent else where, so to save money lol ... ;D ;D But takes but a jot of time to rinse out eh!

Guest IB Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 I don't go overboard, just wash drinkers in washing up liquid and rinse, every time I change their water, which is once or twice per day.
Peckedhen Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 I tend to just rinse them out as I change the water. Every now and then, when they feel slimy, I bleach them.
carlsberg Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 mainly just top up drinkers only clean them about once a month and then i only rub my hand round it
