wings Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 £9.30 for 17 birds If it had cost me 30 pence i would have had to send a bird with one wing, although my results sometimes look like i have already sent birds with one wing LOL
greenlands Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 Doe's your transporter run on water or doe's someone take them to the race point on a barrow. Our club charges 40p/bird and that in my opinion is hardly clearing cost encured.£3 pool for six birds,£1 nom and 50p double nom, pools etc.optional. Diesels £1:04 a litre in this area ????? and them big wagons can drink the stuff.
Guest tom123 Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 welsh north road fed 20 birds for £7.00
PIGEON_MAN Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 We charge .55p per bird inland, this is split between the fed charge which each club pays the same per bird depending on how many goes, and the rest is prize money.

Guest Owen Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 Well lads, I think it will get more expensive. As more and more people leave the sport the costs will have to be shared by less and less of us. More expensive. I think I'll go to the Docter and get some patches. It's time I gave up this addiction.
Ronnie Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 we pay 65p per bird for inland race's . my race team consist of 11 this year. down to 9 after the first race .But will bring a few hens into play when the cocks need resting.I'm hoping to race a few nationals as well with this team. But money dictates the amount of birds we keep
Guest Greig the doo Drysdale Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 we pay 30p for the 1st 3 inland races and 50p for the next 2 and £1 for the last 2 and £3 i think it is for the combine from over the water I will probably get corrected but its been a year since last race so cant remember for sure but it's rounabout that Thats the Scottish Central Fed
Pompey Mick Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 Flying in the Milton HS with the Solent Fed we pay Fed Charges plus 20p for prize money, the Fed charged 30p for Kingsdown last week so we paid 50p. To make things easy we prepay £1.00 a bird every race and hopefully at the end of the season there will be a surplus for every member. After this weeks Exeter, every OB race will be a Channel race and costs will rise considerably with the Ferry costs as they are. Last year birdage charges went through the roof due to the 7Day rule but we are hoping that birdage charges will be much lower this year with the anticipated extra birdage.
grizzal Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 we pay 65p per bird £1 for clock £1 for transport to pool its £2 so to send 10 its about £11 aweek
Guest spin cycle Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 we pay 55p / bird +£2 club transport ( to norwich).....pigeons may seem expensive ( and hard work...and heartbreak )......but just try horses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
