Guest IB Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 10/11 from Otterburn, 82m, lib 0730, timed 2 together at 0922, doing 1287.
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 are you talking about the fed having their first race from Otterburn or yourself Gareth The fed Tom as if there's a race from Thurso or Dublin i will have doos at it if that's what the fed members decide. Believe that a lot of time and effort is wasted by the members of the fed having 2 kelso's 60 miles when the pigeons should be pushed out in distance to give them more education especially when the weather is good. 3 races gone and only at 78 miles. :(
Guest stevie-b Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 30/30 from lauder 54 miles timed after 1 hr 7 mins 5 th club but won money

Guest IB Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 4/13 from witton catle, we have had a right howkin only 34/118 birds at clocks lib 715 iwas 4th at 9 31 (jedburgh scottish borders) North West Fed go there next week instead of Seaham Harbour. Programme changed because Fed got humped with OBs at Seaham Harbour this year, I dropped 10/27. Only problem is we flew Witton Castle in 2006, YBs, Fed got humped and I dropped 8/14, and we never went back there. Frying pans & fires spring to mind.
chrissyboy Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 Gareth your pigeons only had a short programme last year and look at the season you had,, enjoy the good racing a disaster could be around corner ,we should know flying with another fed.
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 Gareth your pigeons only had a short programme last year and look at the season you had,, enjoy the good racing a disaster could be around corner ,we should know flying with another fed. Fair enough but bear in mind that in 2 weeks time the pigeons will be getting jumped 70 miles to wetherby (160 miles) and what will or could happen as it has in the past is that the pigeons will get a cold head wind and members will be classifying it as a disaster as the pigeons have not been tested more enough at the 120-130 mile stage. And what you are also going to get is members now stopping there young birds from 78 miles because they have had 3 races and breed from them as yearlings as if they are proven stock, which happens generation after generation and in my eyes is part of the bad losses in the pigeon sport.
