micko and jack Posted October 10, 2009 Report Posted October 10, 2009 CHAIRDE FRIENDS last night we had some visitors NOT like one of you calling NO these were unwanted visitors the loft was broke into 7 birds stole and an apple tree every branch broke a tree the shape of an old fashioned street gas lamp that I had a light in snapped in two spiral trees broke but the trees were all took for recycling that was dealt with the hardest thing they stole jack favourite grizzel fantail hen it broke my heart to see him today searching the yard for HIS bird "granda granda where's my bird" every other bird in the loft whites reds yellows pied blues mealy no he just wanted HIS GRIZZEL from past threads were I have wrote about jack and his fantails when he was younger he would throw the corn in the yard and chase after his grizzel then he learned that if he put the pot of corn on the ground then the birds would be all around it and he just walked over and lifted his bird every morning the same thing a walk around with his bird if anyone has a grizzel hen like or near to the one in the photo for sale please let me know in Ireland would be better but im open to any offer thanks an unhappy mick and jack

Paul GO RAIBH MAITH AGAT (Irish) THANK YOU the cost i'm not worried about if i had of got them after seeing that child today i would have done time for them as the saying goes but thank you for your very kind offer the people that done this if they had of came to the door they would not have left empty handed i must have given away 20 pair this season just ask Davy ch pied 20 birds went about 3/4 weeks ago after Davy "given out to me about to many birds in fairness he was right" and just like fanciers on site sending jack rings every bird that left jacks loft was a GIFT the vandalism I can deal with but even Roberta (my wife) was crying today watching jack search for his bird

I am really sorry for both your loss and Jacks, and sorrier still that I have grizzles but not fantails which you would have been more than welcome to. Grizzles have been my favourite too since I was a lad, and I hope you get yours back. Agree with your comment on worth, Micko, these birds are priceless.
