me and my dad were gifted a chequer cock from a good water local fancier (when i started helping in local club at 14 years old)

that pigeon was become a nuissence for him playing him up so he gave it us,

that pigeon took a card in all the 4 water races the following year, and beat that flyer in every race, he was 2nd club saints 460miles on the day,

he also breed a fed topper in its first nest beating 7000 birds, he also breed 7 diffrent first prize winners,

until he stopped filling his eggs when he was 8 years old,

what a gift bird he was

Walter

I am originally from Burnbank ,Hamilton before i left i bought birds of Wilson And Robert Nisbet then of Pencaitland.I always believed and still do that the best fliers in the SNFC lived in the North East my reckoning was if you lads could get them up there then i should be able to get them in to Lanarkshire.
