REDCHEQHEN Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 I have a gift hen that was 1st club Lillers in 2008 and 1st club, 1st Fed, 29th UNC, 31st NEHU Folkestone 35000+ birds and she has been my first bird back on numerous occasions (2007 bred and has also had positions in the first 10 in the club several times from 500+ birds)

fletch Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 me and my dad were gifted a chequer cock from a good water local fancier (when i started helping in local club at 14 years old) that pigeon was become a nuissence for him playing him up so he gave it us, that pigeon took a card in all the 4 water races the following year, and beat that flyer in every race, he was 2nd club saints 460miles on the day, he also breed a fed topper in its first nest beating 7000 birds, he also breed 7 diffrent first prize winners, until he stopped filling his eggs when he was 8 years old, what a gift bird he was

Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 i got 3 from alan ritchie up in banff one flew ypres this year not in the clock though another one was 1st club 2nd section 2fed hastings 483 mile as a yearling the other one was 1st fed 2nd north section snfc eastbourne 489 mile also has won some good club tickets hoping to send her to france next year .
kelly tom Posted December 19, 2009 Report Posted December 19, 2009 Walter I am originally from Burnbank ,Hamilton before i left i bought birds of Wilson And Robert Nisbet then of Pencaitland.I always believed and still do that the best fliers in the SNFC lived in the North East my reckoning was if you lads could get them up there then i should be able to get them in to Lanarkshire.
