gangster Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 Well in that Parkinson dudes column.. he reckons this is against the rules.. a pigeon must be rung with its country of origins own ring.. yes thats true but it wont stop it happening im afraid its the only way this year around it, the belgians are changing rings next year to comply
Guest JonesyBhoy Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 yes thats true but it wont stop it happening im afraid its the only way this year around it, the belgians are changing rings next year to comply I do understand.. And i should add i dont agree with the RPRA not allowing rings... But anyone doing it is knowingly breaking the rules.. so they're just as bad as people fiddling clocks or fanciers using drugs.. jmo
gangster Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 the actual ring is the same including the lug for the ets chip but because it has no aliuminium inner it was deemed un safe by the rpra

A ring wont make fk all difference to how they fly

REDCHEQHEN Posted January 25, 2010 Report Posted January 25, 2010 I can't see how it can be against the rules when foreign fanciers are encouraged to buy and breed and put youngsters in the BREEDER BUYER sections of the gold ring races bearing GB (Vanroboeys etc) rings to be raced in this country ie - the foreign fancier buys the ring and sends the birds over here to be bought and raced by British fanciers
